Photographer
Mark Mahaney
Mark Mahaney is an acclaimed editorial and commercial photographer whose work has appeared in major publications worldwide. His portraits and documentary work capture raw, authentic moments with striking visual impact.
Born in Denmark and trained at the Graphic Arts Institute of Copenhagen and Academy of Art San Francisco, Karen Smidth brings a European sensibility to her landscape paintings. Her work is about seeing — an attempt to understand the world through color and form.
Sarah Morrison is a Bay Area-based visual artist whose work explores the intersection of form, material, and narrative. Her practice spans painting, mixed media, and installation, rooted in the rich creative tradition of West Berkeley.
Amanda Wei is a photographer based at the Tannery Lofts whose work focuses on portraiture, documentary, and editorial imagery. Her images are known for their intimacy and thoughtful composition, building a visual language that is both personal and universal.
Whoville Studios is a creative collective operating out of the Tannery Lofts. A gathering place for makers of all kinds, the studio embraces collaboration, experimentation, and community as core values — embodying everything that makes West Berkeley's creative scene unique.
Handle Up brings the energy of street art and mural work to the Tannery community. Their bold, large-scale work is visible throughout Berkeley and the Bay Area, and their presence at the Tannery adds a vibrant, urban pulse to the building's creative identity — including the stunning mural in the communal lounge.
